Update on this disgrace... I posted the above image on WWF's FB page, and they responded thusly: "We apologize for any inconvenience, Troy! Our team often adds words to the dictionary to celebrate pop culture moments and events. You can suggest a word via this form: http://bit.ly/2OpDDBZ. To guide you about what words are unaccepted, here's the article link: http://bit.ly/2xbGoAj."
I think perhaps they didn't realize what I was actually getting at. I was not wanting WWF to add new words to the dictionary, but to remove ridiculous, fake non-words like "tfw" FROM it. And, ironically, in the second link the WWF intern had in their copy-and-pasted stock reply, one of the reasons WWF may "unaccept" a word is if it is an acronym. Which tfw obviously is. I don't want so much a form-letter response listing your rules; I want you to FOLLOW said rules. I don't care that it is pop-cultural. Other pop culture words have been added before and that is normal and expected. But acronyms are against the rules.
